Registration opens April 1 and closes on April 30 for those parents and players interested in participating in Little League All-Star post-season tournaments. Players must be Little League age 8+ and have played in at least 8 regular spring season games on a Minors/Majors team to be eligible for All-Stars.
The Little League (12U) All-Stars are selected by a vote from the players' peers and coaches in early May, with some additional roster spots chosen by the All-Star coaches. The 11U and 10U teams' rosters are selected by MRLL's All-Star coaches each year. All team rosters are announced on this website on May 15. Practice for the 11U and 10U teams typically begins June 1. The LL team begins practicing a week after that.
The District 6 10U and 11U tournaments will be hosted by Arcadia Little League at Ingleside Middle School. The tournaments are expected to begin in the middle of June and last no longer than one week. The LL tournament will be hosted by Scottsdale Little League at Scottsdale Ranch Park and typically begins at the conclusion of the 10U and 11U tournaments. There may be a handful of days that overlap between the tournaments.
Participation on these teams requires a significant time commitment with June practices, games, and other team events; please evaluate your summer plans before expressing interest in All-Stars. If the All-Star team is successful at the District 6 tournament in June, players will be expected to be available for practices and the state tournament for their respective age division held in July. Arizona State Little League will update Little League State Tournament locations and start dates on their website. Here are the basics for 2024:
10U | Hosted by District 14 | McQueen & Crossroads Park | Start Date: July 13
11U | Hosted by District 4 | Maricopa | Start Date: July 13
Little League (12U) | Hosted by District 8 | Sierra Vista | Start Date: July 15
Typically, all state tournaments are of the double elimination format, but sometimes may involve pool play depending upon the number of teams entered.
Only the LL level state winners can advance further, as the 10U and 11U teams culminate at the state tournament.
The winners of the state LL division advance to represent Arizona in the Western Regional held each year in San Bernardino, CA (August 3-9). The culmination of the International Tournament is the Little League Baseball World Series--featuring teams from around the world--held in Williamsport, PA (and televised on ESPN, August 14-25).
